Dr. Shaikh is a visionary physician-executive and clinical research leader with over 16 years of global experience driving innovation in drug development across metabolic, neurological, rare diseases, and oncology. As the Founder & CEO of Crimson Integrated Research (CIR), he combines deep clinical expertise (Harvard MPH, Cornell-trained physician) with strategic drug development leadership, having directed Phase I-IV trials, IND/NDA submissions, and multi-regional regulatory strategies for top biopharma firms, including Takeda, Merck, Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Medtronics, Helix Pharma, and Harvard-affiliated academic institutions.

A pioneer in operational excellence, he has successfully demonstrated reduced trial timelines, optimized budgets and maintained full regulatory compliance across global programs. His work spans adaptive trial design, real-world evidence (RWE), and AI-driven clinical analytics, supported by certifications in biostatistics (Harvard), ICH-GCP compliance, and lifesciences commercialization (RA Capital, Harvard Biotech Club).

Beyond execution, Dr. Shaikh is a mentor and policy leader, having shaped ICH E6, E8, and E17 MRCT guidelines and didactics at Harvard and trained 10+ biopharma teams in risk-based monitoring and decentralized trials. Passionate about equitable research access, he champions diversity in clinical trials and was honored with the AMMP Scholarship for advancing multicultural health initiatives.
